Beach Days

Every week my friend Chelsea and I have a play date together. Her son, Desmond, is 2 weeks older than Aston so it’s really nice to be on this journey with her, experiencing things at the same time – except for teething. Desmond has 5 teeth and Aston has ZERO. But that’s for another post. WednesdayΒ was such a nice, sunny day so we decided to go for a short walk at Mission Bay and have a picnic. Usually our play dates include some kind of McDonald’s meal, but I think we are both over that and we craved some healthy sandwiches and snacks. The walk was really nice and on the way back we both carried our babies in our carry-packs and I can’t speak for Chelsea, but my back was killing me! And my legs were so sore the next day haha. It wasn’t like it was a really exhausting walk either. #unfitproblems. I’m so excited for summer to be here! I can’t wait to take Aston to the beach more often. I just need to teach her to not eat the sand. Every time I tried to throw her in the air she would insist on holding my arm so she didn’t actually get any air time. Maybe she doesn’t trust her mummy’s strength and maybe she has good reason not to. She still had so much fun though. I love seeing her and Desmond together. They are really growing up and starting to play with each other now. Aston is always trying to eat Desmond and he encourages it.

Here’s to more sunny days!
